Company History

WDC Exploration & Wells is one of the largest privately owned drilling companies in the United States. Formed in Woodland, California in 1949 to service the needs of the expanding agricultural and municipal drilling markets in Northern California, WDC has expanded its operations from the original office to nine locations in six states.

Now focused on environmental and water supply drilling operations, WDC Exploration & Wells is known as the industry innovator for developing new, and modifying existing drilling technologies for use in the environmental drilling field. Air rotary casing hammer (ARCH) and sonic drilling were two methods utilized by WDC in the 1980's for environmental drilling projects. In this new decade, injection methodology and safe work practices are in the forefront of our innovation.
